Barry was born May 8, 1946, in Las Vegas, NV, US. He started playing poker at college level in 1960s. He played his first World Series tournament of poker (WSOP) in 1997 for limit of $3000. After 11 times of cash gone he won bracelet in 2001’s WSOP (World Series of Poker).
In 2003, he participated in the Poker Classic event which is held at Aruba. In this event he finished his fourth and won this event by Eric Lindgren. In 2005, he made his career’s first final table of the WPT (World Poker Tour). He also made his final table in the Professional Poker Tour (PPT) event in 2005. In 2009, he won the main event of World Series of Poker which is held in Europe. His opponent in this event is Daniel Negreanu, who won the 6 WSOP (World Series of Poker). His prize winning amount in this event is $1,305,542.
In 2010, January, Barry finishes the main event of the Pokerstar Caribbean Adventure (PCA)and won the prize of $1,350,000. As calculated total at the end of 2010, it was exceed $4,300,000. This is total of all live winning tournaments’ prize amount. He almost played 15 World Series of Poker tournaments at the end of 2010.His total winning prize is $1,577,968. He has two sons. Elder one Jeff Shulman, who is Card Media’s President. His annual income in average is $1,696,195.
